What we are talking about is Netflix.  This company will send you the DVD’s and Blueray Disks that you want to watch via the mail.  When you get them, watch them, and then return them.  What is great about this company is that you can return them at any time…there never is a late fee!

Netflix is a web based company and therefore don’t have the same costs that your local DVD rental shop will have.  What this means is that the DVD rentals are cheaper!

So, here’s how it works.  Go here to sign up.  You choose from over 100,000 DVD & Blueray titles (yes, you read it correctly – one hundred thousand), select the ones you want,  they mail it to you, you watch it, and you mail it back to them (they attach a pre addressed and paid for envelop for you).  Then you select another movie or two and the whole process takes place again.  It really is that simple.

We checked the Netflix site and they are promoting a Free trial whereby you don’t pay for joining and the monthly fee is only $8.99 a month.   That means that if you rent 4 movies a month you are only paying $2.24 per movie.

Where you can really capitalize the Netflix offer and save money is if you have a favorite TV series like 24 or Lost and rent the whole season and watch it over the course of a month.  Lets say there are 24 episodes in a season,  that comes out to be .37 cents per rental.   What a bargain!!!
