Most of you have probably heard about them on the news and maybe even have one, but electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) are a great way to save money if you are a smoker.   According to some of the youtube videos we have watched by smokers of e-cigarettes say they are very much like real cigarettes.  The flavor is similar (apparently many to chose from), and the nicotien hit is just as good.

On the health front, using a e-cigarette will not only save money on what is spent per year on cigarettes, it will in time reduce your health costs.  We don’t want to scare you, but if you are a smoker, there is a good chance cigarettes will affect your health in some way at some time.  But, hey, this is really about saving money, not about whether you should smoke or not.

E-CIGARETTE BRANDS ON THE MARKET

There are a few e-cigarette brands on the market. From what we can see, they are all similarly priced, about $69.00 to $100.00 for a starter kit and a months supply of smoking.

SMOKE ASSIST -  This electronic cigarette brand looks like it is more targeted to women but after reading about it, it is the same e-cigarette technology as all the others.

One thing that stands out about this brand is the price. It is slightly cheaper than the others – $69.00 for the kit and $3.49 per cartridge (equivalent to 20 cigarettes).

SMART SMOKER – This brand is targeted to men in our opinion, but again, it is the same technology as all the other electroinc cigarettes on the market.  The difference is this e-cigarette offers a free trial.  We all know that nothing is for free, so if you order one, know that if your are not happy with it, call and cancel and whatever else you have to do to meet the companies terms and conditions.  The free trial is not such a bad thing as it will allow you to try it for $9.99 for 30 days.

If at the end of the free trial, you like it and want to keep it, then you will be billed the purchase price of $99.99.   The purchase price is on the high side of e-cigarettes, but at least you will get 30 days to see if it is for you.
